Vilma Villaverde

Vilma Villaverde stands as a luminary in the realm of ceramics, holding esteemed positions in international associations. A distinguished member of the Council of the International Academy of Ceramics (AIC-IAC) in Geneva, Switzerland, she represents Latin American members and serves on the Council of the International Association of Ceramists in Zibo, China. Vilma also presides over ACIA, the International Ceramic Association in Argentina. Vilma Villaverde’s innovative approach to art began in the 1980s when she started incorporating diverse materials into her work. In 1987, she made a groundbreaking discovery by integrating bathroom fittings and accessories into her artistic repertoire, infusing her creations with a unique and distinctive character.
