Laxman Shreshta

Laxman Shreshtha (born 1939, Siraha, Nepal) is a prominent abstract artist whose work reflects a journey from chaos to spiritual peace. Raised in Darbhanga, Bihar, he studied at the University of Patna before pursuing art at Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai, École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and Central School of Art in London. Shreshtha's canvases are known for their sensuous and meditative interplay of colors, capturing a movement from turmoil to tranquility. His works have been showcased internationally, and he is regarded as one of South Asia's most sought-after artists.
