Kahini Arte Merchant

Kahini Arte-Merchant (born 1960, New Delhi) is a contemporary artist known for her evocative paintings featuring female protagonists. Educated in England, she studied interior design at Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. Though not formally trained in fine arts, she pursued painting passionately, funding her early work through modeling. Her art has been showcased in major solo and group exhibitions worldwide and is part of collections in London, New York, and Berlin. She received the L'Oreal-Femina Women Award for Art in 2012.
