Baiju Parthan
Baiju Parthan (b. 1956, Kerala, India) is a contemporary artist recognized for his intermedia works that blend traditional painting with digital technology. Initially trained in botany, he pursued painting at the Goa College of Art from 1978 to 1983. Parthan's art delves into themes of mythology, philosophy, and the interplay between technology and culture, often incorporating elements from Indian mystical traditions and Western art influences. His innovative approach has established him as a pioneer of new media art in India.
