Badri Narayan
Born in July 1929 in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Badri Narayan, a self-taught artist, has devoted over four decades to his craft. His dual roles as an art teacher and artist have converged to shape his introspective nature, a defining trait that permeates his creations. Indian mythology and metaphors are the wellspring of Narayan’s creativity, seamlessly blending with his admiration for the Indian miniature tradition. Embracing the two-dimensionality of painting, he often opts for a smaller canvas, ideal for his favored medium of watercolors. Over the years, he has dabbled in etchings, woodcuts, ceramics, and even ventured into illustrating children’s books, showcasing a rich tapestry of artistic versatility.
